The outrageous winds had passed by. I was safe here, safe at home. The cycle had gotten worse. I sat down on the sofa, watching the news when fear struck me. I heard a loud, fearful scream but to me, it sounded like a joyful scream. I stopped worrying and kept on watching the news. The scream was getting louder. Something was definetly happening out there. I put on some warm clothes and headed outside. The wind was howling crazy! The scream was leading me somewhere.

As I walked, the scream got louder and louder. That’s when I found myself right behind the beach entrance. A young lady with brown hair and a blue swimsuit was drowning in the deep, navy blue waters. “Stay calm and I will save you!” I shouted. My voice boomed across the waters and into the lady’s ears. She nodded and stopped screaming.

I took off my shirt and jumped into the whopping waters. The waves splashed against my face as I approached the lady. She was floating on her back, unconscious. I opened my mouth, placed it on top of her mouth and started giving her oxygen. She slowly opened her mouth and spit out all the water stuck in her airway. I carried her and dropped her off half way to the shore when a big wave approached. The lady screamed and escaped but I couldn’t. The wave splashed on me and pulled me inside the waters. I couldn’t swim back to shore. The current was too strong. I used all my power to get out of this but I couldn’t. My vision slowly started to blur. I was fading. Everything was grey around me. My eyes slowly shut. This was it. I was done for. I saved one life in this earth, but lost another.
