The Rain

The Rain

Anwit Paul (16 years)

The sun gleams its rays upon the motherland
Such as the parabola that crystallizes across a neomamma’s visage
With the sight and cries of the neonate once perceiving light for the first time.
Instantaneously arrived the dense and turbulent arrays of smoke
With a background clangour of light and roars
The technological stand in the hospital room suddenly begins an uprising pitch
A pandemonium takes its reign in the environment.
All of a sudden, the room goes silent as the glasses filled with victory spill from the skies
With the overcome of the fluoresce rays of the bright star.
The heroes in blue, hastily turn into the enemies of the world
As the neonate becomes tranquil, exerting all its warmth to the grasping hand of the
Devastated mother, eventually letting go off the neomamma’s hand
While the celebrations continue from high above, thundering and lighting the sky
As each rain drop becomes one with the tears
That dispatch from the eyes of the desolate mother.
