A thriving Bengali community means a burst of cultural activities and our Oikyotan magazine has become a lifeline of our cultural platform. It is a means for we Bengalis in Perth – both young and old – to showcase their amazing and sometimes hidden creative talents. This is your channel to express yourself with the pen or the brush. Time to share your creativity with others. Whatever you feel like… drawing, stories, poems, articles, Choto galpo, cooking recipes, community news, sports, any achievements etc.
Submissions are usually solicited a month leading up to Durga Pujo as we publish our magazine as Pujo shankha. We encourage all school-going kids to put forward a piece of work for publication. Pradipta Ray has kindly agreed to volunteer as the editor of the magazine and we request you to send your articles / work for “Oikyotaan” directly to Pradipta on [email protected] For any enquiry, please don’t hesitate to contact Managing Committee via [email protected]
